Honesty is the Best Policy

Honesty: It refers to a facet of moral character and connotes positive and virtuous attributes such as integrity, truthfulness,straightforwardness,straightforward of conduct, absence of lying, cheating,etc. Honesty also involves being trustworthy, loyal,fair and sincere.

Honesty is a great value that implies a big effort on people. Sometimes people lie for different reasons, for example: People lie to avoid a situation,or the result of something, to obtain things, to get attention from others, to help others in a really bad situation, to get power, to conquest a person and so on. The lie is a pervasive matter that has spread worldwide.You can find people who lie all over the places, for instance: At universities students lie when they have to make researches, or final works about certain topics.They just try to plagiarize information from other researches,consequently, they sometimes do not receive the approval for their researches. In addition to this, people use to alter information on resume papers, or curriculums to get some job position and things like that. Furthermore, husbands often lie to their wives and viceversa to avoid situations, or the result of a bad action. Moreover, people lie not thinking in the future, they just worry about the moment and make lies part of their lives. Therefore, They become unworthy of trust because they get used to lying in their lives. Another thing is that no one can say that have not lied in his or her life, lies are part of human beings lives; but we have to balance the use of them and try to avoid them to almost one hundred percent.

In my opinion, I know that I have lied several times in my life to solve some situation and also to help others. When I was younger, I used to lie to my friends to be joking; but I really try to avoid to lie to people because when we lie, we lose trust from other people. For a person to have a really good profile, he or she has to avoid to lie and tell the truth all the time no matter what happens. Remember that we are know by our actions, our actions talk about our personalities and profiles.  

In the end, People have to be honest no matter what situation they are in, being honest implies effort, dedication and work; but we have to do our best to control our instincts for lying. If you as a person want to go a long way toward, you have to be honest in your life and reject lying to people.
