Internet and other addictions

In the chapter "Internet and other addictions", the class presented the kind of addictions that exist nowadays.

We explained that before was known drugs as the only one addiction for people; but it has risen new ones, such as: gambling, shopping, sex, cell phone and Internet use, and even travel. People have done those activities since long time ago, it is recently when specialists have started using the term addictions for those situations, though.

In the class, we also saw the suffix "aholic", it is used to call people with some addictions. For example, netaholic; it is the addicted person to the internet, alcoholic; addicted to alcohol, shopaholic; addicted to shopping; we use workaholic for addicted to working as well.
