The Tipping Point. Unit 4
A tipping point is a moment of change in a person life, things that mark a past and a present. Are those small pieces that are put together to make that something significant happens. A tipping point can be a graduation, get a real good job, get something that you had no before, the birth of your first child, etc.
This unit is not only related with its title, it has a lot of topics included, topics such as the use of words that can have both literal and metaphorical meanings. I can use the word lion in a metaphor, for example : He has the heart of lion. Its literal meaning would be that lion is an animal but what the metaphor means is that he has a brave heart becauses theses lion are like that.
Adverb Clauses is another topic of this unit, we learned that so that and such that are adverbs of result. The first one is used before an adjective or an abverb, and also before many, few, much and little. The second one is used before and adjective plus a noun.
