The tipping point
In unit 4 "The tipping point" we saw, as grammar, Adverb clauses of result.
This grammar establishes the use of Such + that; and So + that.
Such + noun or noun phrase + that + clause of result.
For example:
The boy has such + fine manners + that + everybody likes him.
She asked such a foolish question that everybody laugh at her.
So + adjective+ that + clause of result.
So + adverb + that + clause of result.
For example: My brother worked so hard that he passed the test.
John played so cleverly that Michel couldn't beat him.
The necklace was so expensive that I couldn't buy it.
