Unit 6

Spiritual Renewal

At this topic we make sense of the beauty  of the life, it one of the most important issues that we should appreciate at all time. Spiritual renewal is focus on the faith and way that people replenish their lives and the profound effect that this cause in our souls.

So spiritual renewal is often associated with the present concept of "revival." It was in the nineteenth century that Cotton Mather first used the word to describe a great awakening in the early Americas. The word derives from the Latin reviver, "to live again," and was typically used to describe an old play that was brought back to a new generation of theater audiences. The concept is closest to the Old Testament idea of renewal or restoration.

what do I mean when I say spiritual renewal it to be made new again but you know like spiritually, you have to be suggest to a variety of things in the church or monastery such as; refrain from eating and drinking most of the day, you need a very strong will, and fasting most of the time, it is not easy to be accustom to this kind of discipline especially when you are not a religious person.

Where can one start in the search for spiritual renewal? Start with the realization that spiritual renewal comes from God. Don’t seek the experience of spiritual renewal, but seek the one who renews your spirit.

When people came to Jesus to have their needs met, very often He redirected their thinking. He taught them to lift their eyes from their own daily necessities and seek God first. He told them, “He will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.” (Matthew 6:33).
