Spiritual Renewal relating to the spirit or soul and not physical nature or matter; intangible. Characteristic of sacred things, the church, religion, etc.
The realization of spiritual renewal comes from God. Revival implies that the thing needing reviving isn't real healthy paramedics don't revive someone walking down the street in good health, revival implies changes. I suggest we are all in constant need of continuing spiritual renewal.
No one can plan or program true revival it is a sovereing act of God. Spiritual renewal comes through commitment and cleasing, and es itself in celebration. Spiritual renewal is often associated with the present concept of revival it was in the nineteenth century that cotton ther first used the word to describe a great awakening in the early Americas. The word derives from the Latin revivire " to live again".
