UNIT 6
Our lesson for today is about Spiritual Renewal which is 6th topic in the book, so what is spiritual renewal? A great definition for this is, a time in our life where we are looking for some answers in a quiet place where we can meditate, moreover for reorganizing our thoughts and spirit. There are different ways for doing it. Some people go to church, another reads the Bible, other pray and fast, or people like me who arrange a periplus alone.
Then now let me explain the vocabulary found in the unit.
Prophets: someone who speaks by divine inspiration.
e.g: Those prophets who are in the bible were too closer to the almighty God.
Ascetic: living without any comfort or pleasures for religious reasons.
e.g: Amish people live their lives in an ascetic manner.
Fasting: eating little or not food for special reason.
e.g: In our religious group we are fasting every last Sunday of the month
Divine: something coming from God.
e.g: The love of god for us is a divine gift.
Enacted a law: make an official rule.
e.g: The house of representatives is trying to enact a new law.
Vibrant: full of energy and life.
e.g: They need a vibrant color for their house.
Hectic: very busy; full of activity.
e.g: The hectic lifestyle that is living today make us forget about ourselves.
Replenish: renew and refill.
e.g: she need to replenish her life.
Well - Being: feeling happy , healthy and satisfied.
e.g: praying can create a sense of well-being.
Refrain from: not do something you want to do.
e.g: he refrain from playing parches online in his cellphone.
Will: determination
e.g: she has the will to go on with her studies.
Foster: develops
e.g: we need to foster our abilities for being ahead other.
Gratitude: thankfulness
e.g: I want to express my gratitude to my mother.
Humility: not being too proud.
e.g: he shows humility in everything he does.
